Join hands with us to patron our Artists-In-Residence, gearing towards their first ever Kamatipura Art Festival!!
Haan, Hum - is a process of reclaiming and reconnecting with the pieces that have been neglected, abandoned and painfully forgotten; through art and dialogue. We are a creative collective - small team of committed to make visible the invisible; especially the sex workers in the Kamatipura area - because many team members have lived amongst them.
Our Vision -
"Using Art
With communities in margins*
To create spaces of dialogue
In order to enable
equal rights, hope, safety and autonomy
inspiring the larger society to respond with Systemic Change.”
*Womxn of Kamatipura living in/as/around sex workers. We have plans to expand to Children in conflict with Law.
Haan Hum, is the assertion and action of the same.
Come together through art and movement, to express and to explore, a sense of self and community.
Opening up spaces, physical and mental, as oneself and as a member of a community, to make space for empowerment, growth and freedom.
Attempt at healing, of self and community through these consistent collective experiences and dialogues that result thereof.
Art itself is Liberation, it is not used as a tool by us. We stand shoulder to shoulder as sisters, and come together as artists and performers, to assert our unequivocal rights as citizens.
